However, despite the fact that PayPal has been in business for over 7 years in Cameroon, the PayPal service is still very unpopular in Cameroon.

As of June 2021, we can authoritatively report that only less than 5% of the Cameroon population (of about 20 million) have a PayPal account. Some Cameroonians are even ignorant about the existence of PayPal.

Somebody may likely want to ask, why is PayPal so unpopular/useless in Cameroon???

The main reason why PayPal is still very unpopular in Cameroon, is due to the receiving/withdrawal restriction placed by PayPal on the PayPal Cameroon accounts.
