Wondering how to load a UBA prepaid visa card in Cameroon??? if yes then this article was specifically written for you.

In this article, I’m going to show you how to recharge/fund your UBA prepaid card in Cameroon.

Like i mentioned in my post about how to get a prepaid card in Cameroon, the UBA prepaid visa card is just like an online shopping wallet i.e. anytime you wish to issue payment online, you just need to deposit an amount of money in to your card, which enough to cover the payment of the item and the transaction fee, to ensure that your online transaction is successful.

So in this article I’m going to give you three ways you can use to fund your UBA prepaid visa card in Cameroon.

Without any further delay, let’s get down to business.

1) UBA Prepaid Card Load/Funding at a bank

The most common way of funding or depositing money in to a UBA prepaid card is at the UBA bank.

You just need to go to the nearest UBA branch, get the UBA cash deposit slip (form) and fill in the required info i.e. enter the name of depositor (your name), the amount you wish to deposit in to your UBA prepaid card, your UBA prepaid card client ID and sign.

In the place where you are asked to enter account number, simply enter your UBA prepaid card client ID (your UBA prepaid card customer ID).

Your UBA prepaid card customer ID (your UBA prepaid card client ID), is the 10 digit numbers found at the back of your UBA prepaid visa card that usually begin with “0”…as shown in the screenshot below.

That 10 digit number represent the account number of your UBA prepaid visa card. Anytime you wish to deposit money in to your card, enter that 10 digit UBA prepaid card client ID in to the area where you are required to enter an account number.

After you have filled in the required info, just hand over the cash deposit form together with the amount you wish to deposit in your UBA Prepaid card, to one of the UBA tellers at the counter… and within 15 minutes the money will be deposited in to your UBA prepaid card.

After the money has been deposited in to your UBA prepaid card, you will receive a confirmation SMS and the teller in charge will also give you a receipt.

You can now leave the UBA bank.

2) How to fund/load your UBA Prepaid Visa Card in Cameroon with Mobile Money

Another way you can easily fund your UBA prepaid card in Cameroon, is through the Mobile Money funding option.

Load your UBA Prepaid Card from the Comfort of your Home with MTN and Orange Money

For those of you who don’t know, its possible to link your Cameroon Mobile Money account (MTN and Orange Money) to your UBA prepaid card.

After you have linked your Prepaid card to your MoMo or Orange Money account in Cameroon, you will now be able to transfer money from your MTN or Orange mobile money accounts to your UBA prepaid card and also transfer money from your UBA prepaid cards to your Mobile Money accounts (to and from your UBA Prepaid card via Mobile Money).

So with the Mobile Money to UBA Prepaid Card funding/loading option, you can recharge your UBA prepaid card and withdraw money from your UBA prepaid card from the comfort of your home i.e. without going to a bank.

3) UBA Prepaid Card Load from UBA Bank Accounts

The third option you can use to load/fund your UBA prepaid card, is by transferring money from your UBA bank account to your UBA prepaid Visa card.

For those of you who don’t know, the UBA Online banking platform and UBA Mobile App, makes it possible for the UBA account holders to transfer money from their UBA bank account to a UBA prepaid card.

If you are interested in this UBA Prepaid card funding option, you can WhatsApp me and i will transfer money from my UBA bank account to your UBA prepaid card for just a little fee.

We accept Payment Via MTN Mobile Money.

4) Fund your UBA Prepaid Card via the Card to Card Transfer Service on the UBA Prepaid Card Portal (Website)

Another fast option you can use to fund your UBA prepaid card, by using card to card transfer feature on the UBA Prepaid card website.

UBA has made it possible for a UBA Prepaid card holder to transfer money from his or her UBA Prepaid card balance to the account of another UBA Prepaid card holder.

So if you have a friend who also has a UBA prepaid card, you can tell him or her to transfer 2000frs CFA from his UBA prepaid card to your own UBA prepaid card.

Ok after you have funded or deposited money in to your UBA Prepaid card, you can start making online payments with your UBA Prepaid Visa card.

NOTE: If you intend to fund your PayPal account to do online Payments make sure that you deposit an amount that will cover the cost of the item you wish to purchase as well as the transaction fees.

So many people who wish to do online payments with their UBA prepaids cards, often deposit an amount that is equivalent to the cost of the item they wish to purchase, neglecting the transaction fee.

For example if you intend to buy a smartphone which cost $50 (27,000frs) on Amazon from Cameroon, make sure you deposit 28,000frs CFA in to your card, the extra 1ooofrs, will cover any transaction fee and tax charged by UBA and the Online shop.

So many people often write to me complaining that they are have deposited money in to their UBA prepaid card, but still can’t issue payment for  a product or service online. This is because they failed to take in to consideration the transaction fees and online taxes.

For every item purchased online using the UBA Prepaid card, UBA charges a transaction fee which ranges from 300frs to 1000frs depending on the cost of the item.

Difference in conversion rate can also make it impossible for you to issue payment if you deposit just the exact amount. This is because most sites like PayPal uses an exchange rate that is slightly higher than the exchange rate found in Google.

So always deposit at least 1000frs extra on top the cost of the item, in order for your transactions to go smoothly or else your payments will not go through i.e. you will see an error message which says PAYMENT HAS BEEN DECLINED.

Ok we have come to the end of this article.
